College Students’ Societies Union of GXCVU

College Students’ Societies Union of GXCVU College Student Societies Union of Guangxi City Vocational University (hereinafter referred to as “the Societies Union”) was established on September 2, 2008. The Societies Union is an independent management organization that carries out extracurricular activities independently under the leadership of the School Party Committee and the guidance of School Youth League Committee.

The purpose of the the Societies Union is to carry out the Party's educational policy, guide students to organize extracurricular activities effectively. It aims to expand the students' knowledge, enrich their extracurricular life, provide good conditions for the cultivation of the overall quality of students and create a good atmosphere for the construction of campus culture.

The mission of the Societies Union is to manage all legally established students’ societies, guide the activities of students’ societies, support the work of the school Youth League Committee about students, promote the students’ societies to carry out colorful extracurricular activities, ensure the healthy and orderly development of students’ societies in our university, so as to serve the school, students and teachers better, and organize more and more influential and meaningful campus activities.

About the Guitar Association

Guitar Association of Guangxi City Vocational University, established in 2006, is a student organization that aims at cultivating students' musical quality and improving their guitar playing skills. It is strictly organized in accordance with the administrative regulations of the School Youth League Committee and the Student’s Association. In line with the purpose of enriching the extracurricular cultural life of college students, the association works with the School Youth League Committee to build a positive, aspirant and harmonious association culture in our school. Under the guidance of the School Youth League Committee, the Guitar Association carries out activities to enrich the campus cultural atmosphere, providing a good communication platform and performance stage for guitar lovers, and cultivating integrated talents with musical quality and moral ability for the school.

With the aim of "serving college students' spiritual life with music", Guitar Association has been making great efforts to enrich cultural activities, create musical and cultural atmosphere, and stimulate the spirit of original music on campus. The association regularly invites guitar teachers and professional guitarists inside and outside the school to give lectures on guitar playing and singing, trains and instructs its members. It usually organizes collective performances and salon activities, and expands communication and cooperation with other guitar associations. Regular meetings of association members are held to exchange experience and promote performance level. The community as a literary style of the new force, with the guitar music, deduce our campus life. Our slogan is: pops up your heart in the City Vocational University".

An introduction to Yiling Calligraphy and Painting Association

Yiling Calligraphy and Painting Association was founded on October 15, 2005 under the leadership of the School Party Committee and the guidance of the School Youth League Committee, composing of students who are calligraphy and painting lovers. It is one of the influential associations in the school.

The association has held two large-scale painting and calligraphy exhibitions every year since its establishment to show the achievements of each semester to all teachers and students.

The association is diversified in ways of learning. In terms of calligraphy, the association mainly includes writing brush, hard pen and seal cutting (including regular script, running script, official script, cursive script, small seal script, etc.). When concerning painting, it consists of freehand brushwork and fine brushwork. In literature, it mainly includes "University", "The Doctrine of the Mean" and "Analects of Confucius". Other literary works can be read and learned by students themselves.

The association aims to promote traditional Chinese culture, and enrich students' cultural life after class.
